BMW recalls sport utility cars; passenger air bag probably not inflate in crash
BMW is recalling further than 85,000 sport utility cars in the U.S. because a mat which revealsforehead-chair passengers could fail, meaning the air bag perhaps not inflate in a crash. The recall covers the X3 from 2006 out of 2010. BMW tells in Gov. documents which the mat could wear & develop cracks which could interrupt electrical signals. which could cause the forehead air bag to switch off, activating a caution light. The mats are portion of the system which changes the method air bags inflate if Kids are in the chair.
